Ben grew up on the Fleurieu Peninsula. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2018, before working in various hospital roles in Adelaide and on the Sunshine Coast including as a resident in general and plastic surgery. He went on to complete General Practice training, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2024. He moved back to the Fleurieu in 2025.

Ben has long held an interest in procedural medicine, and since completing his GP fellowship has focused on skin checks and the management of skin cancer. He is committed to ongoing training and to providing evidence-based, high-quality care.

When not working, Ben is usually spending time with his wife and young sons, or training for triathlon
