What is Dermoscopy?

Dermoscopy is a non‑invasive imaging technique used to examine skin lesions in greater detail than the naked eye alone. It can assist in:

  • Visualising skin structures more clearly.
  • Identifying skin changes that may warrant further medical review.
  • Supporting clinical decision‑making in conjunction with medical practitioners.
  • Dermoscopy is not a diagnostic test and does not replace a medical assessment by a doctor, but supports detection.
