Dr Leah Spencer
Dr Spencer joined the team at Skintech in February 2021.
She completed her medical degree in Tasmania in 2016, graduating with a Vice Chancellor’s Leadership Award and Bill Jackson Memorial Award for Proficiency in Country and General Practice.
After completing multiple hospital placements in Tasmania, Adelaide and Darwin, including rotations in dermatology and plastic surgery, Dr Spencer decided to pursue a career in General Practice. In 2021 she became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
During her time as a GP, she continued to develop her passion for the diagnosis and management of skin conditions. Dr Spencer completed further training in this area before deciding to completely focus her work on the treatment of skin cancers at Skintech.
She is now completing a Masters degree in skin cancer with the University of QLD. She is also a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
In her spare time Dr Spencer enjoys being outdoors hiking, gardening and spending time with her partner, her rescue dog Gibbs and her cats.
