Dr Libby Turtle

Dr Libby Turtle is one of four female Doctors now onsite providing skin check services at Skintech.

Originally from the UK Libby emigrated to Australia 15 years ago with her husband.

She completed a degree in Paramedic science before completing her medical training at Flinders Medical Centre.

She received the Leslie Shorn Memorial Scholarship and The Flinders Staff Prize in Surgery.

Libby spent quite a few years working with the SA Ambulance Service where she trained as a paramedic prior to entering medicine.

She has certificates in Advanced Clinical Dermoscopy, Skin Cancer Medicine and Emergency Medicine.

Libby is currently completing her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and works as a GP Registrar part time.

Throughout her training, Libby developed a strong interest in both skin cancer and cosmetic medicine. She has worked part-time in Adelaide providing laser removal of lesions, facial veins among some other cosmetic procedures.

In 2023 Libby joined the Skintech team part-time to pursue her interest in Skin Cancer.

When Libby has free time she enjoys spending time with her family, walking her sausage dogs, scouring charity shops for bargain clothes and watching period dramas.

Qualifications
  • MBBS Flinders University.
  • Currently completing my Fellowship with the RACGP.
  • Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine.
  • Certificate in Dermoscopy.
  • Interest in cosmetic medicine.
